Publication Process
Global Justice Review: Jurnal Hukum Internasional is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of academic excellence, research integrity, and transparency in scholarly publishing. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer-review process and evaluated in accordance with internationally recognized publication ethics and academic publishing standards.
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions should comply with the journal’s author guidelines, ethical requirements, and formatting standards. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not simultaneously under consideration by any other journal or publisher.
2. Initial Editorial Review
Upon submission, manuscripts undergo a preliminary review by the Editorial Team to evaluate:
- Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope;
- Compliance with submission and formatting requirements;
- Originality, scholarly quality, and contribution to international legal studies;
- Similarity screening and plagiarism assessment.
Manuscripts that do not satisfy these requirements may be returned for correction or rejected before entering the peer-review stage.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial review are assigned to at least two independent experts through a double-blind peer-review process, ensuring anonymity between authors and reviewers.
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
- Originality and novelty of the research;
- Methodological soundness and academic rigor;
- Theoretical and practical contribution to international law;
- Quality of legal analysis and argumentation;
- Relevance to international legal issues and global governance;
- Clarity, coherence, and scholarly significance.
4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may render one of the following decisions:
- Accept Submission;
- Minor Revisions Required;
- Major Revisions Required;
- Resubmit for Review;
- Reject Submission.
Authors will receive the editorial decision together with reviewer comments and recommendations.
5. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewer and editorial feedback. Revised manuscripts should be accompanied by a detailed response explaining how the comments and suggestions have been addressed.
Where necessary, revised manuscripts may be subjected to an additional round of peer review.
6. Final Acceptance
Following satisfactory completion of all revisions, the manuscript undergoes a final editorial assessment. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s academic, ethical, and publication standards will receive formal acceptance for publication.
7. Copyediting and Proofreading
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and proofreading to ensure consistency in language, grammar, citation style, formatting, and overall presentation quality.
Authors may be consulted during this stage, and the final proof will be provided for approval prior to publication.
8. Production and Publication
After author approval, manuscripts enter the production stage, including layout editing, metadata preparation, DOI registration, and online publication.
Published articles are assigned to the appropriate issue and made immediately available under the journal’s open-access policy.
9. Post-Publication Policy
All published articles remain permanently accessible through the journal’s website and digital archiving systems. Any corrections, retractions, withdrawals, or updates will be managed in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy and the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

- Author Revision Process: 2–4 weeks
- Final Editorial Decision: 1–2 weeks
- Copyediting and Publication: 1–3 weeks
The overall publication process generally takes between 8 and 16 weeks, depending on manuscript quality, reviewer availability, and the extent of revisions required.
