GJR maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, and other forms of academic misconduct. Any manuscript found to violate ethical standards may be rejected, corrected, retracted, or removed from publication regardless of its publication status. The journal reserves the right to use plagiarism detection software to evaluate all submitted manuscripts.
Editor Responsibilities
Accountability and Editorial Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team are responsible for evaluating and determining which manuscripts are suitable for publication. Editorial decisions are based on originality, scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, relevance to the journal’s scope, and recommendations from peer reviewers.
Fairness and Impartiality
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic merit without discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, political beliefs, institutional affiliation, or personal characteristics of the authors.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and related correspondence. Information regarding manuscripts shall only be disclosed to authors, reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher when necessary.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors must avoid situations involving conflicts of interest and shall not use unpublished materials for personal, professional, or research advantage. Any editor with a potential conflict of interest must withdraw from handling the manuscript concerned.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer reviewers assist editors in evaluating the academic quality, originality, and significance of submitted manuscripts and provide constructive recommendations for improvement.
Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and shall not share, discuss, or distribute them without authorization from the editorial office.
Objectivity and Professionalism
Reviews should be conducted objectively, fairly, and respectfully. Comments should focus on scholarly content and be supported by clear reasoning and evidence.
Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers should decline review invitations if any personal, professional, institutional, financial, or collaborative relationship may affect their objectivity.
Ethical Concerns
Reviewers are encouraged to notify the Editor-in-Chief of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical conduct, or substantial overlap with previously published works.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Global Justice Review undergo an initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s requirements proceed to a double-blind peer-review process involving at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject matter. Final publication decisions are based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment.
Author Responsibilities
Reporting Standards
Authors must present research findings accurately, transparently, and objectively. Data manipulation, fabrication, falsification, or misleading reporting are strictly prohibited.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Proper citation and acknowledgment must be provided whenever the ideas, words, or works of others are used.
Data Availability and Retention
Authors should retain research data supporting their findings and provide access to such data when reasonably requested for editorial verification.
Ethical Compliance
Research must comply with applicable legal, ethical, and professional standards, including those relating to human rights, international research ethics, and responsible scholarship.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal interests that may influence the interpretation or presentation of their research. Sources of funding should also be clearly identified.
Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.
Multiple or Redundant Publication
Authors must not submit substantially similar manuscripts to multiple journals simultaneously. Duplicate publication constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is strictly prohibited.
