Archive Policy
Global Justice Review: Jurnal Hukum Internasional (GJR) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published scholarly content. The journal recognizes the importance of safeguarding the integrity of the scholarly record and ensuring continuous access to international legal research for academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, international organizations, and future generations of scholars.
To protect its published content against technological obsolescence, data loss, cyber threats, and service interruptions, GJR implements a comprehensive digital preservation strategy based on multiple preservation mechanisms.
1. Publisher's Internal Digital Archive
All articles published in Global Justice Review are securely stored and maintained on the journal's primary servers managed by PT Adikara Cipta Aksa. The journal employs regular backup procedures, data integrity monitoring, and server security measures to protect scholarly content from accidental loss, corruption, or unauthorized access.
The internal archive serves as the journal’s primary preservation repository and supports the continuous availability of published materials through the official journal website.
2. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
Global Justice Review participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. PKP PN provides long-term digital preservation based on the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) infrastructure, ensuring secure and distributed archival storage.
This preservation mechanism enables the journal’s content to remain accessible even in the event of technical failures, platform discontinuation, or other unforeseen disruptions affecting the journal’s primary website.
3. Scholarly Repositories and Indexing Services
To enhance discoverability, accessibility, and preservation, Global Justice Review seeks to disseminate and archive its content through recognized national and international repositories, indexing services, and academic databases.
Published articles may be deposited, indexed, or archived in:
- Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital);
- Google Scholar;
- Dimensions;
- Crossref;
- Institutional repositories;
- Other scholarly databases and indexing services relevant to international legal studies.
These platforms provide additional layers of preservation and facilitate broader access to the journal’s scholarly content.
4. Author Self-Archiving Policy
Global Justice Review supports the principles of open access and permits authors to archive the final published version (Version of Record) of their articles in:
- Institutional repositories;
- University repositories;
- Personal academic websites;
- Non-commercial scholarly repositories;
- Academic networking platforms that comply with copyright policies.
Authors who self-archive their work are encouraged to include complete bibliographic information, the official article URL, and the DOI assigned by the journal to ensure proper attribution and citation of the original publication.
5. Perpetual Access Commitment
In the unlikely event that Global Justice Review ceases publication or undergoes organizational changes, PT Adikara Cipta Aksa remains committed to preserving and maintaining permanent access to all previously published content.
Access to archived articles will continue to be supported through available preservation systems, including PKP PN, institutional archives, and other preservation repositories utilized by the journal. This commitment ensures that the scholarly record published in GJR remains permanently accessible to the international academic community and the public.
6. Policy Review
This Digital Preservation Policy may be periodically reviewed and updated to reflect developments in digital preservation technologies, scholarly publishing infrastructure, and international best practices in academic communication. Any revisions will be published on the journal’s website and applied prospectively.
